Pricing & Customization
Bringing your pet’s unique personality to life on paper is a collaborative process. To ensure your custom ink and watercolor portrait accurately captures your furry family member, here is what you can expect.
How It Works
-
Consider how you would like your pet to be featured:
Portrait vs. Full Body: Decide if you prefer a classic, chest-up portrait focusing tightly on your pet's expressions, or a full-body illustration.
Multiple Pets: If you have more than one best friend you would like celebrated, they can be beautifully grouped together into a single cohesive painting, or split into a matching series of individual portraits.

Once you fill out the commission inquiry form, you will be asked to share a few reference photos of your pet (3–10 images is ideal). High-quality reference photos are the foundation of every portrait. For the best results, please look for photos that are:
Clear and Well-Lit: Natural outdoor light or a bright indoor room works best. Include images that highlight their posture, markings, favorite pose, or any distinctive features.
Focused on the Eyes: The eyes carry your pet's true spirit. Please ensure the photo is sharp enough to clearly show the color and detail of their eyes.
At Eye-Level: Photos taken at your pet's eye-level (rather than looking down at them) work best to capture their natural proportions and personality.
If you're unsure whether your photos will work, simply send what you have. I'm happy to help you determine the composition and reference images that will create the strongest finished piece.
-
After reviewing your photos, we will discuss the details, size, and layout of your piece. Once the details are finalized, you'll receive an invoice for a 50% deposit.
Your commission is officially reserved once the deposit is received. Work begins after your place in my schedule has been secured.
-
Your portrait is painted by hand with careful attention to expression, color, texture, and detail.
When the portrait is complete, you'll receive a photograph of the finished artwork for review before shipping.
The remaining balance is due upon completion. Once final payment has been received, your portrait is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking information.
